I am a Pushcart-nominated writer, editor, and musician living in Durham, North Carolina.

My fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in the pages of North Carolina Literary Review, Jelly Bucket, Salamander, Solstice, Meridian, The Main Street Rag, Confrontation, South Carolina Review, storySouth, Lilith, Flyway, Jewish Fiction, Sky Island Journal, Mud Season Review and Kindred.

I am happy to announce that my short story, “Little Hen,” is included in the new anthology Frankly Feminist: Short Stories by Jewish Women from Lilith Magazine, available wherever books are sold.

My (unpublished) short story collection, The Book of Nut and Other Stories, was named a finalist for the 2019 Eludia Award.

I was selected as a mentee in the AWP’s Writer to Writer Mentoring Program, Season 10 (Spring 2019).

I earned a PhD in modern Jewish studies from the Jewish Theological Seminary in 2008. My book Bringing Zion Home: Israel in American Jewish Culture, 1948-1967, was published by SUNY Press in 2015.
