I am a writer, editor, and musician living in Durham, North Carolina.
My fiction has appeared recently in the pages of Sky Island Journal, Mud Season Review and Kindred, and one of my stories was awarded an Honorable Mention by Glimmer Train in a contest for new writers (September 2016).
I earned a PhD in modern Jewish studies from the Jewish Theological Seminary in 2008. My book Bringing Zion Home: Israel in American Jewish Culture, 1948-1967, was published by SUNY Press in 2015. You can hear me talking about the book on this New Books Network podcast. You can find my academic articles here.
